After doing :set permissions allow-plugins false and verifying that it had changed in the configuration, and checking after restarting the browser, the Wine pipelight plugin is still loaded, and HTML5 YouTube videos (at least the sound and player) still work.

The HTML5 one is expected, that's not counted as plugin I think. I have to check the pipelight one.

The fix for https://bugreports.qt-project.org/browse/QTBUG-36349 might fix this

Fixed in the 5.4 RC according to @mxtm
