Mounted many, many times #213
Comments
Feel free to implement that in the AppImage runtime. Have fun trying to hand over mount points between instances, and closing it with the last instance reliably. You need to add more information. What OS is this on? Is there FUSE? (Do we really have to ask these questions to you specifically?) |
The information is in #212 and as written there on the same system an earlier version had worked w/o issues. |
No, more like in the systemd unit file. Give up after 3 times or so (I think this is possible). |
That wasn't mentioned in a single word. Please add such information in the future, or just put it here (even better, don't have to collect information from multiple pages then). |
Thought it was obvious from the
but I'll be careful to give more information next time. |
That had been added after the initial post, I guess? Well, okay then. I had the tab open, and GitHub didn't update the issue. |
I can confirm that the latest build does not crash anymore on 18.04, but nevertheless I think it would be good if systemd would only try to launch AILL e.g. 3 times and if it does not work, give up. |
Why "cannot reproduce"? The combination of |
This is still an issue on elementaryOS, at least tell us how to kill it. |
Which exact version of elementaryOS are you using? Live mode or installed? How exactly did you install and launch AppImageLauncher, and which version of it? |
Hm. Perhaps all that's needed is some restart delay, e.g., 5000 ms? |
I do not remember installing AppImageLauncher, maybe it came with elementaryOS or i forgot i installed it, i can not find it. I have a recent installation of elementaryOS and i keep up with updates. |
Most certainly not. |
This issue is about the Lite version, which is not packaged by distros. |
Then i must have installed it.
|
If you want to uninstall it, either get a fresh copy from the releases page and call it with |
To get the version, run: > ./appimagelauncher-lite.AppImage --appimagelauncher-version |
Does this still happen? I'm about to make a couple of improvements to the Lite version and want to know whether I need to have another look without having to spend time on getting some old xubuntu system up and running. |
Yes. It's been happening on my system for a few weeks, after no issues for a few weeks. Pop!_OS 21.10. Exactly 1000 (one thousand) Seems like the same issue as here: |
For those affected like me: I managed to temporarily alleviate the problem by unmounting all of the AppImage fuses running this command: |
Possibly as a result of #212,
It should not allow to be mounted more than once, I guess.
