With PrivacyFox enabled, trying to follow someone or to like a tweet results in the following error message:

Your account may not be allowed to perform this action.

Disabling the extension is enough to make the error disappear, but it is quite cumbersome to toggle the extension every time I want to interact with Twitter. Is there a known workaround?

Try setting: network.http.sendRefererHeader to '1'
and network.http.sendSecureXSiteReferrer to 'true'

Thanks @Atavic, indeed when sending referer Twitter interactions work again.

@TheCreeper WDYT of this issue? Any plans to let users whitelist websites where referer is sent, or should we turn to another add-on for referer protection?

Twitter requires referer for login, but not for searching while not-logged. uMatrix, referer control and smart referer are some addons you could look at.
