Preserve color value in the steward

I am using the thing system in an art gallery environment and it is really useful to preserve the hue after all of the work getting the color perfect. Or having the numeric color value displayed so one could enter the exact value if it were lost would be superb!

how about something like this: when a bulb is not changed for more than 30 seconds, then the steward will remember the bulb's settings (color and brightness). when the steward restarts it will set restore each bulb, as it is re-discovered to the last saved setting.

Sounds great - will it be possible to display the values in the UI as well? I know we removed some of this from early UI concepts, but I think it is a desirable feature. I am a color geek :-)
