Sorry for the noob question, but where exactly do i place the sh3 widescreen files at? Do I copy just the dinput8.dll file or the files inside the "scripts" folder? Do I place the correct files inside the silent hill 3 folder where all the random files and data are or in a specific file (crack, data, directx etc). I tried placing all widescreen fix files in the main directory and the crack folder, but still doesn't seem to work. Thanks.

The installation process, along with everything else, is explained here: https://github.com/AeroWidescreen/NFS-SH-WidescreenFixWiki/wiki/1.-Installation

The installation folder is the one where sh3.exe is located. That's where you move the scripts folder and dll file. If you're still not sure about something feel free to ask.

hmm.. still can't get it to work. Is it because I downloaded it as a torrent? The main folder is not named folder\konami\silent hill 3. it's just pc>downloads>silent hill 3... not sure if that even matters. There is no actual file that I can see that reads "sh3.exe", but there is a file that reads "sh3" with the logo (heather's face). I'm pretty sure that's what you're referring to though. I can only run the game when I go to crack > sh3. I tried moving the sh3 that's in the crack folder to the main folder, but cannot run. I then tried to put the scripts and dinput files in the crack folder with sh3, but it won't run like that.

As long as dinput8.dll and the scripts folder are where they're supposed to be, then it shouldn't matter where you have your game installed, but it doesn't sound like you have the game installed at all. This is what your installation folder should look like:

install

Look for autorun.exe. If you see something like that it means the game hasn't been installed yet. Or try to find a better source, but don't expect me to help you with that.

Yeah, it has the autorun file. The folder looks like that. ^ I assumed it was installed since i was able to run it through the crack folder, but i guess not. I even went through the setup wizard. Oh well. Thanks for your input, anyway.

If you went through a setup wizard then it's possible the game is installed, but you forgot where it's located. I don't know, but double clicking on autorun.exe should allow you to install the game.
