Same for me right after installing:

August 22, 2023—KB5029351 (OS Build 22621.2215) Preview

was working before, so KB5029351 seems to be the culprit.

EDIT: same for store version and portable

Can confirm, installed the app for the first time today and I experience the exact same error.

Started my pc today, and it suddenly worked as intended. I did not do anything to fix this issue by myself, other than powering my machine down completely last night. Perhaps worth trying @ItsVanishCat @DoofDilla @Wiiillig ?

I was encountering this issue using the MS Store version on Win 11 22H2. I completely uninstalled it, rebooted my PC, and reinstalled it. Now it works.

I have the same problem.
I'm on Windows 11 Insider Preview (10.0.22631.2271) (KB5030316)

Edit: It is now working properly after the Windows 11 Insider Preview (10.0.22631.2338) (KB5030305) update.

The error occurs when my computer is turned on from sleep mode. It gets fixed after restarting

You actually don't need to restart windows. From Task manager restart File Explorer. Works every time.

The same problem as described above. Have de- and reinstalled it about 20 times or so. Runs with Win 7 without problems.
After reinstalling it will run within two or three System-Starts - at least the same once again.

Anyone a great idea what to do?

To solve this problem, you don't need to restart your PC or install TranslucentTB again, just open the Windows exploer and restart it in task manager, and then reopen TranslucentTB, you will find that it works properly.

@sylveon maybe we (i.e. you) should lock this issue from further comments? The issue isn't solved (to my knowledge), but there are some solid workarounds shared here, and it's getting pretty bogged down with repetitive comments.

@ everyone else: Please read the whole thread before posting a comment. If your solution is the same as someone else's, just give their comment a 👍 reaction. If you want to thank someone for their comment, you can react to it with 👍 or ❤️. Adding unnecessary comments just makes it harder for the developer to actually fix issues. Thank you.
