Notes on routes:

  • Due to the spotty state of signage and the fact that in many cases, route signs were only recently posted, most potentially-unsigned routes are included.
  • E5 (not mapped) seems to be unsigned.
  • E10 is signed.
    • E10 officially uses two alignments east of Julio Andrade, one (the older one) via El Playón de San Francisco and the other (formerly E188) via El Carmelo. The latter is assumed to be the through route, with the former OldE10 at intersections.
  • E15 is signed.
    • E15 southbound thru Pedernales, according to signs for San Vicente, turns left at Rio Tachina and right at Garcia Moreno. There is no sign for a left turn off Garcia Moreno, and Lopez Castillo is one-way northbound until 3 de Noviembre. Northbound traffic has no useful signs, so it is assumed to go essentially the same way.
    • E15 is assumed to use the new bypass just west of Manta (between AbdCal and Gav).
    • E15's route thru Santa Elena may be wrong (it comes from the 2014 province map, with southbound on Chimborazo due to the one-way portion of Guayaquil).
  • E15A (not mapped) may be unsigned.
  • E20 is signed.
  • E20C may be unsigned.
  • E25 is signed.
    • E25 still uses the old route east of Machala according to maps and logs, as well as signage (as of 2015).
  • E25A (not mapped, southeast bypass of Santo Domingo) seems to be unsigned (as of May 2023).
  • E28 may be unsigned.
  • E28A is signed.
  • E28B may be unsigned.
  • E28C may be unsigned.
  • E28D may be unsigned.
  • E29 (not mapped because it seems to be partly unbuilt, for example east of Las Golondrinas on the 2022 map) may be unsigned.
  • E30 is signed.
  • E35 is signed.
  • E38 is signed.
  • E39 may be unsigned.
  • E39A is signed.
  • E40 is signed.
    • E40 has been mapped to bypass La Troncal (and E58 to end at the bypass), despite not being shown as such on the 2022 map, since signage west of town only points E40 onto the bypass.

    • E45's south end (and E50's east end) may be wrong.
  • E45A is signed.
  • E45A's spur to Providencia may be unsigned.
  • E45A's spurs south of Coca (not mapped) may be unsigned.
  • E45-1 seems to be signed as E45, and so is mapped as E45Tun. The south end may be wrong. The potential branch to Mirador is not mapped.
  • E46 is signed, including on the bypass of Macas (not into town as maps show).
  • E47 is signed.
  • E48 is signed.
  • E49 is signed.
  • E49A is signed.

  • E58 may be unsigned.
