SmartOS install boot crash #675

Everytime I try to boot SmartOS (to install it) it crashes right after the SmartOS entry is selected in the boot menu.

SmartOS version: 20161101T004406Z
I also checked 20160707T032945Z version and got the same result.

The machine has Intel Xeon E5 1650 v3 onboard.

When I disabled X2APIC in BIOS, the problem disappeared.

Unfortunately this is https://www.illumos.org/issues/3167. We have this slated to be fixed, but haven't quite gotten around to it yet, sorry.
