Below the header there is a "subheader". This area only contains the sorting options (best, new etc.). It uses a lot of space and provides hardly any functionality.

I suggest incorporating the sorting options in the header (the area above the "subheader").

#208 proposes similar thing - I think this approach is more consistent with respect to current UI

The idea in #8 (comment) would be in conflict with this issue if we decided to go in that route. Leaving this here for potential discussion.
