Adjunct descriptive data SIGNIFICANT PERSONS ASSOCIATED WITH THE COLLECTION duplicates Index Persons and they are very close together, feels bulky

Above is a different issue.
I didn't initially catch what duplication this was referring to.
I see now that there is an 'INDEX TERMS' section containing Persons, Family Names, and Subjects,

Redundancy was due to stylesheet gathering //persname from entire guide for significant persons list, but also having a display for controlaccess/persname (index terms) . Changed the gather xpath to //persname[local-name(..)!='control access' to exclude those listed explicitly in index terms. For this particular guide it removes the persons heading completely. Need to review the ones with mixed listings - maybe change the label for the headings ( "other persons" ? )

Should /ead/archdesc/did/origination[@Label="Creator|source")] be included with persname gather ?
Or should those be handled separately or dropped as internal ?

"<origination>" is used to encode information about the individual or organization responsible for the creation, accumulation, or assembly of the described materials before their incorporation into an archival repository (this may include correspondents, independent collecters, dealers, etc. as well as creators). The LABEL element may be used to identify a role for originator as may the ROLE attribute on any name element used inside the <origination> element.
