I get this:

I tried to update the build gradle files, but it didn't help. There is no "org.jetbrains.kotlin:kotlin-reflect" anywhere. I don't get why this occurs...
I don't even see Kotlin being used here...

I didnt have this error, could play the sample immediately but it crashed after loading the first view.
Downloaded via ZIP.

My IDE is also:
Android Studio 3.3
Build #AI-182.5107.16.33.5199772, built on December 25, 2018
JRE: 1.8.0_152-release-1248-b01 amd64
JVM: OpenJDK 64-Bit Server VM by JetBrains s.r.o
Windows 10 10.0

@smogen I tried with the zip file, and still got the exact same issue.
