Let's face it, the changelog is a mess! In some sense this is good because it means we have a lot of things going on: small dependency updates, minor fixes, significant refactors, new features, core solving improvements etc.

But my guess is that it's hard for someone without a deep knowledge of the project to figure out what are the main changes, and also what some entries relate to. Thus it would be nice to come up with sub-categories to improve readability.

I'll give it a go based on the current list before the next release and will add those categories to the template for the next iterations.
