Hello, I am trying to play Dota 2 on Mac but every time when I press "play", it shows that the game is running, then stops, shows that it is syncing(like when the game is closing) and doesn't launch at all. I've tried reinstalling the game, reinstalling steam, launching the game in "-safe" mode, "-autoconfig" mode, disabling firewall and also tried verifying game files dozens of times but still the game won't launch.
I went online and saw some forums saying that I have to type:
"exec ~/Library/Application\ Support/Steam/steamapps/common/dota\ 2\ beta/game/dota.sh" in the terminal but when I pasted that in my terminal, I received this message:

Also, my mac is in the most up to date version already, I do not have any anti-virus software that will interfere with steam, I also asked this on steam support but the moderator told me to post the question here. I don't know what to do and how to fix it, can you please help me. I want to play DOTA!

Hello @Drginix, can you check that your Steam client is up to date (Steam -> Help -> About Steam)?
The current stable release is dated August 21, 2019.
It is already in the latest most up-to-date stable release, tried both the beta and non-beta version. Not only does my dota not launch but my other games such as dota underlords has the same problem. If you read the error log, it says I'm missing interface adapter for steamuser020, maybe it has something to do with that? Please find a solution for me, thank you.
@kisak-valve@danginsburg Hello, the problem still hasn't been fixed yet, it shows it is already in the latest client for both steam beta and non-beta, this problem occurs for my dota underlords as well, I think it has something to do with the interface adapter for steamuser020 as stated above. Please help me, I really want to play dota. Thank you very much.
