Compatibility Report

  • Marc Eckō's Getting Up: Contents Under Pressure
  • 260190

System Information

  • GPU: AMD Radeon Vega 64
  • Driver/LLVM version: Mesa 20.1.3-1
  • Kernel version: 5.7.7
  • Link to full system information report as Gist: Gist
  • Proton version: 5.0-9

I confirm:

  • that I haven't found an existing compatibility report for this game.

  • that I have checked whether there are updates for my system available.

Symptoms

When launching the game, the dialog box to set your widescreen resolution appears and when the user selects "Run" the game exits before running.

When running outside of Proton in a regular WINE prefix (a long time ago), the following steps made the game playable:

$ winetricks vcrun2003

then set a custom override for:
windows version: winxp

libraries:
override msvcp71 and msvcr71 to native
also override d3d8 to native, builtin (VERY IMPORTANT)

works 99% perfectly

Reproduction

On any version of Linux, try to run the game.
