I've tested the issue and it looks like it does not really hang but loads real slow. It finally loads for me after a few minutes waiting. I've sent the patch which should be fixing the issue: https://source.winehq.org/patches/data/194805

I tried this game today and I noticed that on Wayland I have a black screen as soon as I click by mouse anywhere in the menu. After switching to X.Org the issue was gone.

Here is my System Info

I had issues with this game on Gnome3/Wayland - I've dual monitor config, Steam window is placed on seconday display. When I start the game, my mouse cursor get locked into the Steam window, while games window open on primary display and had no mouse cursor, since it locked to window on secondary display.

On X11 on the same machine, mouse cursor get locked to game's window, so I can play without issues.

@vladimir-novoseltsev From what I know there is an ongoing work to support Wayland on wine, this will probably help with these kinds of issues in future.
