  1. The map descriptions on the team menu screen do not show if they are the HTML type.
Older style text only types are OK.
  2. It seems the HTML files for dod_argentan, dod_avalanche, dod_flash, dod_donner, dod_anzio and dod_kalt are missing in the "dod_pak_dir.vpk".

Screen area-001

As you cab see dod_jagd, dod_colmar, dod_palermo are there but still don't show and display this...

I believe I can explain why the files in VPK are not working. (They might just need to be shipped loose on disk.)

But I cannot locate any of the "missing" files anywhere in Perforce (dod_argentan, dod_avalanche, dod_flash, dod_donner, dod_anzio and dod_kalt). How do you know those files ever existed?

Made change to put the html files loose on disk.
I believe that the "missing" files is actually a feature request, not a bug report.

Very sorry about that, you are correct, dod_argentan, dod_avalanche, dod_flash, dod_donner, dod_anzio and dod_kalt never got upgraded to the HTML type when dod_colmar and dod_jagd were introduced and missed out again on the dod_palermo update.

I do have a set for those other maps if you want them, they have the same layout as the others with correct descriptions for each map and the images.
Text was based on the old dod map descriptions.

All files in correct folders and tested...

Great! We'd like to ship these files. In order to use them, we need to jump through some legal hoops to ensure we have the rights to use them. The easiest way to do it would be to submit it to the workshop. Would you mind just uploading that .zip file to the TF2 workshop and posting the link? (Because there is no DoD workshop.)

You can make a note that you know that this submission isn't for TF2, but were asked to do it for legal reasons.

Thanks!

Ok will do. I will recheck quality/spelling and document where the words and images came from...mostly it is from adjusted VALVe files and the current dod 1.3 steam version anyway, what I could not find I made using the same format as the other three already on disk :)

I hate to open this again but when using the files I altered and the unaltered VALVe files I noticed the images and the .css did not display correctly in Linux.

There were 2 capital letters in the HTML file addresses...in Linux this is bad.
I have fixed the files I submitted and also the VALVe files, they work in Linux and windows now.
I cannot replace these but I do have the same zip file here with corrected files...

http://www.dodbits.com/downloads/HUD/Ver_11_HUD/dods_missing_map_descrptions_ver2.zip

The corrected files are in the "Files" folder.

All HTML files in..... resource\maphtml folder have been updated and checked in Ubuntu 12.04 LTS 32 bit and again in Windows 7 pro 64 bit.

Do I have to resubmit to the workshop?
