Prerequisites

  • I have searched the Issues list for open and closed issues and believe this is a unique, newly-requested feature.

Feature

Is your feature request related to a problem? Please describe.
An improvement to a minor problem, yes. On the initial import (OPML/gpodder).. every episode of every podcast show is considered "new". I imported my OPML from Android and I have 3500 "new" episodes among dozens of podcast shows I'm subscribed to. Currently the only way to clear these out, is to "mark all as played" for each individual podcast, which is a lot of work. My "new episodes" list is a mile long.

Describe the solution you'd like
Option 1: A new button on the "new episodes" tab to "mark all new as played"
Option 2: A "clear this list" button on the "new episodes" tab, AND a "mark entire library as played" option in the 3-dots menu.

Whichever option makes the most sense to you.

Additional context
In addition to the import problem... I check my podcasts every day and I'd like to keep the "new" list clean each day. Currently, the only way to keep this list clean is to mark all as played - every day, for every podcast. Too much effort

Thank you
