Implement something like HotCat for AfC/C #85
Comments
Yay! Yes please :) |
Actually I have no clue. At least we should as the detection where to place the category isn't that easy. |
Yeah, that's what i meant. |
Aren't people suppose to add perspective members to the category before it is created to show there is a need for the category? I could see the script removing all pages from the category if it is declined (or moving them to a different name for the category, if needed), but I am opposed to it adding pages to categories as there is no way for that to be inclusive and would be a waste of the scripts precious ms to add 2 or 3 or even 10 pages to a category. |
@Technical-13 Howso? It's saving the user a significant amount of time... |
Not saving the reviewer any time. The requester should be placing these pages in the category ahead of time, to show a use/need. Now, like I said, if it is declined, I can see the script pulling those pages out of the category or if the reviewer chooses a different Category name, but not initial population. The requester should have to do "something". |
|
Then I think that template/instruction should be changed. Either way, my initial comment above was a question, and not a declaration. Come on IRC where it is easier to discuss (having to flip to my email app, then to my browser app, then back to IRC is a pain on a mobile device..). |
@Technical-13 err, the cat shouldn't created without any (at least 3) pages in. |
And those pages should be added manually by the person requesting the category... It is their responsibility to show a need for the category. Reviewers shouldn't be stuck doing all the work. |
if AFC/C is accepted and a new category is created, proposed pages should be added automatically to the newly created category.
