This is a joint meeting with flexible-vectors and any SIMD related presentations are also welcome, e.g. new architectures or toolchains, longer term discussion that don't fit into flexible-vectors or relaxed-simd.

The meeting will be on Friday, October 1 at 9:00AM - 10:00AM PDT/ 5:00PM - 6:00PM CET.

If this meeting doesn't already appear on your calendar, or you are a new attendee, please fill out this form to attend.

Couple topics to discuss:

  • fpenv and its potential counterparts elsewhere
  • Smaller groups of SIMD instructions which can be considered outside of this proposal (AES for example)

As an example of the latter, maybe we should move AES proposal to main repo. We can discuss that at the meeting or @MaxGraey and myself can start working on this.

We can also discuss #21 (comment): a relaxed i32x4.trunc_sat_f32x4_u will not be a single instruction lowering (8 instructions), though it will be a lot better than the current one (14 instructions).

An announcement that might be interesting to this group: wasi-parallel is in Phase 1 (of WASI process). I can talk about it briefly.

This project also involves @abrown (who is currently on sabbatical) and @egalli - I am wondering if it is OK for him to attend just the meeting tomorrow.

(correction - phase 1, originally had phase 2, also fixed in notes doc)
