In particular see https://github.com/WebAudio/web-audio-api-v2/issues/28#issuecomment-573437300 for context. In chrome there is quite a noticeable delay between when HRTF is set and when you hear the HRTF result.

AudioWG call:

  • We'll do it the same way as WebAudio/web-audio-api-v2#28, a method returning a promise.
