Bill of Materials

Must have

We recommend to buy the cheapest webcam you can find. Most likely a similar model to Eminent iCAM Webcamera or LogiLink Webcam USB with LED. It is sold all around the world with different brands, but the internal electronics are the same.

Also, make sure you have enough 3mm material to cut the design from.

2 2 M3 16mm bolts Bevestigingsmateriaal.nl
3 1 M3 10 mm bolt Bevestigingsmateriaal.nl

6 4 3mm White LEDs Farnell 0.45

It terms of controlling the LEDs or streaming the video footage there are multiple options. The simplest solution is to use an Arduino or similar microcontroller. A more advanced option is to use a Raspberry Pi to not just control the LEDs via the GPIO pins, but also stream the video footage over wifi. A guide on how to configure a Raspberry Pi Zero W for video stream can be found here Raspberry Pi Zero W video streaming guide.
