Docs Team Slack onboarding message when you join the channel

I would like to create an onboarding message that appears in the Make WordPress Slack Docs channel when someone joins.

The message should be concise and help onboard new members and direct them to the most important information and links. It should also be very welcoming.

Please add your ideas and copy for the Slack onboarding message in the comments below.

That's a nice idea. It will surely help new joiners with onboarding.
We can include the following content

• What we do?
• Getting started (link to onboarding guide & videos)?
• Where can you get help?

Training team has this kind of workflow for new members. We can take some inspiration from there as well (see following screenshot)

The documentation team holds weekly office hours and monthly Contributor Days on each Tuesday of the month in this Slack channel. It’s also where you can contact the team at any time outside meetings.

Weekly Meetings

First Tuesday: Docs Team meeting – 14:00 UTC
Second Tuesday: Triage meeting – 14:00 UTC
Third Tuesday: Docs Team meeting – 14:00 UTC
Fourth Tuesday: Online Contributor Day – 13:00 UTC to 16:00 UTC
Fifth Tuesday: Triage or no meeting, as needed – 14:00 UTC
