I’d like to suggest adding a new Guide to help with data-migration using wp-cli.

There are a lot of guides out there, but the official one is missing, unfortunately.

Like so often, people have already been doing great work and some explanation is already in place at https://developer.wordpress.org/advanced-administration/upgrade/migrating/#moving-sites

Unfortunately I can’t link to the wp-cli section, but there is one, luckily.

It’s probably just necessary to bundle the good and existing docs and reference them better.

I understand the desire to have an official guide for all things WordPress but I think it's okay for the community (or commercial ventures) to also fill the gaps provided they are not creating traps for users. I don't think we can manage documentation for all the different migrations/conversions. We may also consider creating content on the developer.wordpress.org/news blog for the things that need documentation but we may not be able to commit to long-term updates/support (maybe the API changes often, maybe it's more about strategic thinking than specific commands, etc). I just want to mention that as an aside and not an impediment to adding these guides.

I think wp-cli can do some real magic for folks and while at face value it can feel intimidating, some user-friendly walkthroughs are definitely a good call.
