The results are similar, as I still receive But with Postgres, there's a big stack trace involving an unsupported operation before the BeanCreationException. I'd have said that's the reason for the problem, except when I use H2 there's no database error and the BeanCreationException is still present. Full output:

I was able to get around the SQL error by adding this to application.properties:
But I still have the bean creation error. |
The first error is due to JPA trying to find The second error is more interesting. It seems to work on some versions of Spring Boot but then fails on others. Current iteration seems to make it fail unfortunately. The safest solution for this is to remove the functional |
Well, the version of Spring Boot in my last attempt is the one you use in the course (I made no changes to the dependencies set up in your branch). It would be nice if the course branches provided working examples. In other experiments, adding My guess is that this is more to do with the kotlin compiler plugins than anything else. |
I removed the bean initialization and the error disappeared, though I haven't extensively tested to make sure the database has what is expected yet. |
Hi,
Thanks for this course, it is very informative.
I've been working on your master branch trying to update to the most recent versions of everything. I think I'm there with Kotlin 1.2.21 and SpringBoot 2.0.0.RC1.
I've also switched to an embedded H2 database and added a 'data.sql' to my resources to load the user and role.
The problem I'm seeing is that at startup time, after the sql script runs I get an exception.
Any hints on how to solve this since the implementation of the repository is generated by Spring?
