Encoded strings (at least in the achievement description field) are encoded twice. That is, the quotation mark character " which should be returned as " is returned as ".
Example: https://www.xboxleaders.com/api/2.0/achievements.json?gamertag=Major+Nelson&gameid=1112737750

HTML really shouldn't be within a JSON string. This is something that should be removed

For now, I'm leaving the HTML as it is. I've removed the double encoding however. This is something that will have to be looked into for 2.1.0 or 3.0.0.
