Hi @Xigtun !!

I've installed all with your guide (thank you very much for it, btw).

Im using virtualsmc instead of fakesmc, and the rest is OK.

I've installed too the I2C solution of this post and it works OK: #2

The problem is that I cant boot without verbose mode. Ive tried everything:
-delete I2C and restore original voodoops2controller of your guide
-restore fakesmc and acpibattery instead of virtualsmc+smcbattery
-tried booting with no caches, but not success if I try to boot without verbose, and so

Could you boot without verbose mode?

Btw!! What BIOS config do you have in xps 9570? I copied same settings from xps 9550 and 9560 guides, but Im not sure if its OK @Raymonf

I don't remember, sorry

If I remember correctly, I just changed to AHCI mode and then disabled secure boot.

@alexmenn - what's the problem? is there a kp?

@bavariancake the problem is that when I try to boot without verbose, sometimes (1 every 2) clover hangs on boot, and the progress bar stucks at 95%.

If I try to boot WITH verbose, it boots ok all the times. Maybe the voodooI2C is the problem? Im not sure.

Here you are a full debug files after boot with verbose mode (-v)

You have several KPs related to VoodooI2C, after which the system reboot itself, which kept happening to me as well. The second issue I had (even with verbose boot) is some conflict with other devices, causing a message like "busy timeout 60s". I'm guessing that timeout would prevent booting, but the problem is intermittent and comes in bursts, i.e. you can boot successfully 10 times in a row, but from a cold boot, you might not be able to boot 10 times in a row. VoodooI2C still needs a lot of work.

I'm using an external keyboard/mouse for now, so the issue isn't as pressing.
