I tried to launch Client-16.0-r11066-OSX10.6.8 with a Server-16.0-r11031 and it failed.

Here's the traceback I got on the client side with ./xpra attach tcp:10.0.32.148:2200

That was a build or packaging issue with this particular build, please try a newer one.
r11078 tries to make the error handling better for this particular case, should it happen again, but since running without the gtkosx_application bundled is not really meant to be supported I won't worry too much if it breaks somewhere else when missing.

It launches successfully with r11077.
