Right now, the list of transition words does not include many highly ambiguous words and phrases (i.e. those that could function as transition words in some contexts but not in others, such as 'clearly'). We could expand the transition word assessment to include those words if they appear at the beginning of the sentence and are followed by a comma. This would be a fairly reliable indicator that they do function as transition words. (e.g. 'The article is written very clearly' vs. 'Clearly, more research is needed.')
