I improved the design of the Social pages in Yoast SEO.
This is the link to the interactive prototype: https://sketch.cloud/s/jbvxm/all/page-1/general/play

New:

  • The same tab structure as Search Appearance: General, Content types, Taxonomies, Archives.
  • All general social media settings (accounts, Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest and Google+ settings) are placed in the General tab.
  • In General tab are Site-wide default settings and Homepage settings for Facebook and Twitter social previews.
  • Toggle for Use default settings per content type, taxonomy or archive.

Also #2147 was taken into account in this design.

This looks really great, and will be an improvement for per-post-type default featured images for sure.

Just curious what your approach will be in regard to deprecating G+. I'm assuming you'll want to remove it completely soon.

Just a subtle nudge on this one -- REALLY looking forward to this feature. It would be SUPER helpful for us.

Closing as we have a new Settings panel in Yoast SEO 20.0 where social settings are also located.

@jeroenrotty jeroenrotty closed this as not planned Won't fix, can't repro, duplicate, stale Apr 20, 2023
