Enable force rewrite titles *Missing*

With our custom wordpress theme and yoast v.3.0.6 active the "Enable force rewrite titles" check-box appears in the Yoast Titles & Metas setting as usual. As soon as we update to wordpress v. 4.4 the check box disappears.

Same issue here with WP 4.4 and Yoast SEO 3.0.6. My title tags are also being duplicated. The markup I'm using in the title .

Checkbox is conditional on current_theme_supports( 'title-tag' ). I don't see why would it depend on WP version.

Does your theme have title tag support declared?

Rarst - You hit the nail right on the head. My theme had add_theme_support("title-tag") in the functions file. I've disabled it and all is working great. Thank you for your help!
