Can this connection remain active in the background?

Due to task requirements, our ws need to be maintained in the background (Android and iOS, may web in future).
So, can this connection remain active in the background? If so, what is the upper limit?

The background survival is the system controlled by its own system, not the Socket plugin, as long as your app is alive, Socket is alive
