3.CFW.1 Backing up & Patching

PyPS3Checker Direct download from the original repository
- An app to verify the integrity of your PS3's flash dump.
On your PlayStation 3:
- Plug your FAT32 formatted USB drive in the most right USB port.
- While you’re in the page, click on ”Flash Memory” (Under the check)
- Choose
dev_usb000
and then Save.
On your Computer:
- Using PyPS3Checker, it requires you to install python 3.11 at least.
- Connect your USB Flash drive to your Computer.
- Copy "dump.bin" to your Desktop.
- Drag "dump.bin" to "drag&drop_your_dump_here.bat"
- After loading the app and checking the integrity of the dump file it, the number of warning and dangers are 0.
- IMPORTANT: SAVE THIS FILE SOMEWHERE SAFE AS IF YOUR PS3 UNFORTUNATELY GETS BRICKED YOU CAN RESTORE IT.
NOTE: PATCH IS A PERMANENT MODIFICATION ON YOUR PS3. ONCE YOU DO IT, IT CANNOT BE REMOVED.
On your PlayStation 3:
- Click on "Flash Memory Patch” —-> ”Load Patch via HTTP”
- If it didn't work do the following:
- Download nofsm_patch.bin (from the original repository)
- Transfer it to your USB Flash Drive and connect it your PS3.
- Choose "Load Patch via USB"
- After it finishes, click on ”Flash Memory Patch” —-> ”Apply loaded Patch”
- Read the warning carefully and accept it.
- Restart your PS3.
Your PS3 is now exploited and ready to be jailbreak'ed!
