  • as part of this migration, I think it's required for today's browsers to default to HTTPS for zoo-project.org (https://www.zoo-project.org/)
  • yes this ticket could be filed in a dedicated GitHub repository for the website, but we don't have one yet, so I'm filing it here :)
  • plus, why not set this goal for the same timing as the GitHub move

  • also, should remove the 'www' in the default url, so this will always be loaded or redirected to: https://zoo-project.org/

As mentioned in #7, I do agree we should set this goal for the same timing as the GitHub move.

Still, the certificate has been updated and the SSL version can be accessed from https://zoo-project.org.

Note that the rewrite from https://www.zoo-project.org/ to https://zoo-project.org/ is not working.

Also note: a redirect from HTTP http://www.zoo-project.org/ to HTTPS https://www.zoo-project.org/ must be enabled. (and this will become: http://zoo-project.org/ redirected to: https://zoo-project.org/ as well).

Any update on this one? This is strongly recommended and will help in the context of OSGeo incubation. Currently, both https://zoo-project.org and https://www.zoo-project.org display warnings about security risks.
