from elizabeth: "I tried wild as a covariate and the program ignores the covariate altogether. I tried floral_resources as a covariate and it works fine (weird)"

turns out this isn't a bug. "wild" should be "ignored" because its a constant for each colony. I should still write better tests to make sure co-variates are handled.
