Testing

    1. Lighthouse To identify and fix common problems affecting my sites Performance, Best Practices, Accessibility and SEO. By right-clicking and choosing inspect or pressing the keyboard combination "Ctrl + Shift + I" I was able to view and edit my code before making changes.

Manual Testing

All pages

  • Home - When clicking on Home I am directed to the Home Page
  • When clicking reload the cards are shuffled and the timer resets
  • When finishing the game a pop up is shown with text and image showing successful completion worked as expected
  • When time runs out pop up is shown asking the user to replay this worked as expected
  • Play again button redirects user back to game worked as expected
  • Home page buttons redirect user to appropriate pages worked as expected
  • Tier level redirect user to the appropriate game with appropriate timer worked as expected
  • Social media links redirect user to another page. worked as expected
  • Responsiveness - I checked if all the pages and its contents were responsive using Chrome inspect. Also viewing each page using an iPhone, iPad, Macbook and other devices.

Testing my User Goals

  • Visitor goals

    • As a first time visitor, I want to immediately understand what the game is about.
      • Bold white aesthetic title states memory game.
    • As a first time visitor, I want to be able to easily navigate and interact with the game.
      • Minimal activity on page and all buttons redirect to and from each page.
    • As a first time visitor, I want to be able to understand how the game is played.
      • How to play button to help user understand the game how-to-play-
    • As a first time visitor, I want to be able to play on different tiers, to avoid repition.
      • Kick off button directs user to a pop up to allow user to choose their own tier. tier
    • As a first time visitor, I want to be able to see how much time I have left.
      • Each game has its own individual timer, 45,60,90 seconds. time
    • As a first time visitor, I want to be able to see how many times I have flipped the card.
      • Counter is displayed as soon as game starts.
    • As a first time visitor, I want to be able to follow social media handles to recieve updates and view other games.

  • Developer Goals

    • As a developer, I want the cards to be able to reshuffle on command.
      • reload button on each page so user can reshuffle at their own will time
    • As a developer, I want the cards to be shuffled at the end of every game.
      • when game is completed whether a fail or successful the cards are in a different order ranoutoftime
    • As a developer, I want the user to see a pop up when successfully completing the game.
      • When game is successfully completed user will see a Champions pop up with a football trophy. championss

Further Testing

  • The website was tested on various platforms, including, Google Chrome, Internet Explorer, Microsoft Edge and Safari Browsers
  • The website was viewed on a variety of devices such as Macbook, iPhone 12 Pro, iPhone 7 and desktop.
  • The website was also reviewed for it's responsiveness by inspecting the page on Google chrome.
  • All contents was run through Grammarly to avoid spelling/grammar errors.
