ERROR in ./source/manifest.json #57

I'm getting this error and there's no reference to what's causing it. manifest.json is basically the same as in the starter.

ERROR in ./source/manifest.json
Module Error (from ./node_modules/wext-manifest-loader/lib/index.js):
Cannot read property 'replace' of undefined
