Microsoft Windows 10 Version 20H2 (OS Build 19042.985)
What is the problem?
I have a visual impairment called Achromatopsia. Besides having low vision (about 20/200) and being completely color blind, I am also sensitive to bright light; hence the need for Deluminate when browsing the Internet. For Acromats, white or light colored backgrounds range from being uncomfortible to actually causing pain. In general, a black background with high contrast for the foreground works best. The problem is with finding a set of settings that work for Chrome+Deluminate, OS apps like File Explorer, and other apps like Microsoft Word. Up until a few monts ago, I had things working fairly well. I used a high-contrast Windows color scheme, dark mode, and Deluminate with Keep Images Norman (for most webpages). Then something (Chrome, Deluminate, or Windows, or a combination thereof) changed. Now it is not possible to get Chorme, Deluminate, OS and App settings that work well together. Also, in some cases, when a webpage is loading, the Chrome display area turns completely white for a second or two. Would you be interested in working with me to find a solution for the Acromate community? The issues are more complex than can be discussed here. You can contact me at waynewilliams8668@gmail.com and +1.478.230.8668. Thanks.
