Hi all. Thank you for all the work. My system is OS X 10.11.5. Two days ago, I installed AppleALC to /EFI/Clover/kexts/Others and set config.plist:
FixHDA_8000 == True
Audio->Inject == 3

Then reboot, the sound card worked well. But just once, reboot again, it didn't work anymore. Although my video card is HD4400, I tried adding UseIntelHDMI == True according to https://github.com/vit9696/AppleALC/issues/34#issuecomment-210450891. Same as the former, just worked once. Searched on Google for a long time, I couldn't figure out any clue to address this, so I ask for help here.

Definitely your AppleHDA.kext is NOT native. Install clean AppleHDA to avoid this problem. Also delete ALL sound patches from KextsToPatch section in config.plist and remove ALL Dummy kexts (pinconfig injectors etc.)

  • Downloaded and installed native AppleHDA.kext from web, it should be native. Cache rebuilt.
  • I think there is no sound patches in config.plist ( most items are disabled): http://pastebin.com/raw/JmAisEWi
  • Just removed CodecCommander.kext, is it a Dummy kext?

After I added FixHPET_0010=YES to config.plist, AppleHDA successfully loaded and the sound card works well by far. AppleALC is fine for my card, I just didn't patch this "HPET" in DSDT which made AppleALC only work once.
