#123 talks about how it's dreadfully slow to generate a whitelist from a modest collection of certificates. (30-40k on my local Firefox) This is one potential solution/improvement.

I seem to recall some browsers offering a local cache of intermediates (used for their own performance improvements). Can we investigate what that looks like and leverage that for performance wins?

This isn't a thing in Firefox anymore. What about other browsers?
