Plug-in locations

  1. Plug-ins that ship with photoshop will be placed inside a "Generator" folder inside the built-in Required/Plug-ins directory
  • mac: /Applications/Adobe\ Photoshop\ CC\ 2015.5/Adobe\ Photoshop\ CC\ 2015.5.app/Contents/Required/Plug-Ins/Generator/
  • win: C:\Program Files\Adobe\Adobe Photoshop CC 2015.5\Required\Plug-Ins\Generator
  1. Third-party Plug-ins that are intended to be run in the built-in Generator will be placed (by the user) inside a "Generator" folder inside the third-party plugins folder (i.e. "AppRoot/Plug-ins/Generator"). When Photoshop ships, it will ship with an empty "Generator" subfolder inside the third-party Plug-ins folder (just as we currently ship with an empty "Panels" subfolder).

  • win: C:\Program Files\Adobe\Adobe Photoshop CC 2015.5\Plug-ins\Generator
  1. Non-Photoshop Adobe plug-ins may be installed in the following global location:
  • mac: /Library/Application\ Support/Adobe/Plug-Ins/CC/Generator/
  • win: C:\Program Files\Common Files\Adobe\Plug-Ins\CC\Generator
