All of the Ubuntu-based builds use the 22.04 LTS parent image, which contains several OS packages with unresolved security vulnerabilities. Are there plans to update the version of the Ubuntu images to something more recent like 23.04?

Can you clarify what security vulnerabilities you believe are 22.04? As an LTS release it should still be getting regular patches, and will do so for longer than 23.04 (and now 23.10).
