i don't have android 12 so i haven't tested it. but it should work or maybe they added some sort of filter? only specific package names count as default.

1.yes with magisk 24.3
2. yes with lucky patcher
3. normal install then move app to system with lucky patcher
4. camera and p2c, when select p2c the app not respond, just loading but not opening file manager

try on some other application and see if issue is there or not

if you can see pic2cam in popup (app picker), and it also works then issue is in your app, elif don't work that means issue is in pic2cam app.
