The mesh is re-sorted to vertices, edges, faces, volume (vtk-like) and the element is a simple grid. This is not compatible.

Also, the figure for hexahedrons is wrong. https://www.kitware.com/modeling-arbitrary-order-lagrange-finite-elements-in-the-visualization-toolkit/
