I have installed locally python-magic with virtualenv on my mac os x but in python repl, I get
AttributeError: 'module' object has no attribute 'open'.
Is this method deprecated?
Note that i imported successfully magic module in my repl.

There are two modules called "magic" that have a different API. Please see the README file for documentation.
