I trained the event task but found out the model is not able to converge. Do I need some extra settings/parameters to produce an acceptable result? Thanks.

The code for tasks not discussed in the paper (i.e., anything except ball_traj and player_traj) is experimental and simply included to serve as a starting point for other researchers.
