Tell us about the new connector you’d like to have

  • Which source and which destination?
    Source: Open Exchange Rates
    Destination: Snowflake
  • Do you need a specific version of the underlying data source e.g: you specifically need support for an older version of the API or DB?
    No

Describe the context around this new connector

  • Why do you need this integration? How does your team intend to use the data? This helps us understand the use case.
My time is currently running a script that calls this API manually. We intend to load this data into Snowflake for further aggregations.
  • How often do you want to run syncs?
    Daily
  • If this is an API source connector, which entities/endpoints do you need supported?
    /historical/{date}.json
  • If the connector is for a paid service, can we name you as a mutual user when we subscribe for an account? Which company should we name?
The connector has a paid tier which I am using for testing. I prefer not to be named as a mutual user

Describe the alternative you are considering or using

We tried the Exchange Rates API source provided by Airbyte but the API was migrated to API Layer which caused us a few issues. OpenExchangeRates provides 1000 calls per month freely whereas Exchange Rates API provides only 250.

Are you willing to submit a PR?

Yes, working on it #19434

@marcosmarxm @erohmensing I assume we can close this since the PR is already deployed and released? 🙌🏻
