Environment

  • Airbyte version: 0.40.23
  • Deployment: Airbyte Open Source on Kubernetes
  • Source Connector and version: SFTP Bulk 0.1.0
  • Step where error happened: Setup new source

Current Behavior

When setting up a new SFTP Bulk source for an SFTP server with username and private key, but without password, the check after clicking "set up source" fails with

The connection tests failed.
An exception occurred: 'password'

Expected Behavior

The user should be able to set up a connection to an SFTP server without providing a password.

Logs

Currently, I cannot download the server logs through the Settings > Configuration page, but cannot see why. If required, I might be able to provide them later after debugging this.

Steps to Reproduce

  1. Set up a new source
  2. Select SFTP Bulk
  3. Enter connection details for an SFTP server requiring a username and a private key, but no password

At Airbyte, we seek to be clear about the project priorities and roadmap. This issue has not had any activity for 180 days, suggesting that it's not as critical as others. It's possible it has already been fixed. It is being marked as stale and will be closed in 20 days if there is no activity. To keep it open, please comment to let us know why it is important to you and if it is still reproducible on recent versions of Airbyte.
