Form re-submission not accepting filled name field

If the name field is left blank, but everything else is filled out correctly, an error message pops up saying that the name field cannot be blank. Fantastic! However, when I enter my name and try to submit the form again, it does not submit, even though the field is no longer blank.

Issue noted by reviewer only occurs if code is run on local server. Running on the browser as a local file does not exhibit this behaviour.
