Spyglass of curios has some cool features but you can't seem to disable the spyglass overlay.

I found this alternative spyglass-improvements which has in game configuration but no curios support as of yet.

The code for that has already been merged so we just have to wait for the update.

I do find it annoying that zoom in with spyglass has an animation, I'll only consider this if it's possible to disable the animations.
