This would be interesting because a lot of times I have wanted to copy the table and paste it in a google doc or something. It would be interesting to see how useful just outputting the relationships in ascii would be.
Tables themselves are definitely useful but the plotting edges in ascii can be a little messy and prone to being rendered incorrectly. Ascii tables themselves are also outputted by psql, so not sure how important this feature is.
